A few years ago Discord unveiled its Communities Hub, making it easier than ever to find others with unique and shared interests.
But they haven’t stopped there. Recently Discord launched its new Student Hubs category, a place for schools, colleges, and universities to come together. In the Discord student Hubs members can interact with fellow classmates directly, creating an off campus community for sharing and conversing.
In this article we are going to give you all the information you need to start exploring the benefits of Discord’s new Student Hub section.
What Are Discord Student Hubs?
Discord Student Hubs are a brand new way to connect with your fellow students. They are a place where you can meet classmates, see school announcements, and otherwise engage in campus life without having to be on campus.
However, Student Hubs are not officially affiliated with your school. They are communities started and run by students, for students. Because of this your school’s hub may not be incredibly organized, or not exist.

Much like any other type of Discord server, Student Hubs can be used in a variety of ways. Chat, share pictures, and practically anything else you can think of.
Of course Student Hubs are designed with aspects of student life in mind.
For example, these servers can be a great place to meet classmates from your new biology course to prepare for pop quizzes.
You can also look for school announcements, find new clubs to join, discuss a specific subject, or search the member list and find friends.
Basically, anything that goes on at your school will probably be posted in a particularly lively Student Hub.
