How to Connect Spotify to Discord

Basically, you only need a Discord account and a Spotify account to get started with streaming music and share a playlist with friends.

The option to connect your Spotify account with your Discord account is available both in the desktop app and through your mobile Discord app, which means that this option is available to PCs, Macs, Androids, and iPhones.

In other words, it’s available to any device with Discord and Spotify pre-installed.

First off, make sure that the Discord app and the Spotify app are both installed in your PC. Open Discord and go to User Settings. You should be able to see the Connections option in the dropdown menu.

Look for your profile picture and go the bottom right corner where the User Settings is. Once that button is clicked, the Connections tab can be seen at bottom. Click that and then click ‘ADD’ on the right. Once you see the Spotify icon, click on that and enter your login details if you have an existing one. Otherwise, you will need to create a Spotify account first.

If you haven’t installed Discord and Spotify on your device yet, do this first for a much smoother process.

Via an iPhone, the process is still pretty much the same. On the upper-left corner, click on the lines and directly go down to the bottom left corner where your Discord account profile picture can be seen. Clicking on this will prompt you to the User Settings. Under User Settings, click on Connections and select Add. Choose from the logos displayed and find Spotify. Click on it to go to the Spotify login page.

To check the status, simply go back to the Connections tab and your Spotify username should be on display. This means that you have connected Spotify to your Discord account.
