How to Change Status on Discord

The Discord online status informs others whether you’re away, busy, AFK, or available. You may change your status on Discord anytime, and you can even make your own custom status.

There are four preset activity status statutes on Discord: Invisible, Do Not Disturb, Idle and Online. If you want to be creative, you can create a custom status to appear below your name.

You might feel particularly motivated or simply want to let your friends know what you’ve planned for the weekend. Discord custom status is a great way to interact with your friends!

By default, Discord identifies your game activity and displays it as your online status. You can change it to whatever status you wish using the Discord website, Mac or Windows desktop app, iPad, iPhone, or Android mobile app.

   To change your Discord status, click the user profile icon in the lower-left corner and set custom status from a pop-up box that appears.

   In the input box under What’s cookin’, type your custom status message.

   After typing your status on the status text box, Select an emoji icon on the pop-up menu that appears. You will then be able to use it as your custom status.

   Your status will only be visible after a long time unless you specify status clear.

   To change the length period of your new status, under the status text box, select the custom status option from the drop-down menu, then pick the length of time you want your status to be visible.

   Select the “Status Clear,” and a pop-up menu appears. Then, choose how long you want your custom status to be shown. If you want it to stay for a long time, change it to “Don’t clear.”

   Set custom status on Discord to Invisible, Do Not Disturb, Idle or Online, then click the save icon.

Your status update will now be displayed near your profile icon at the bottom of the screen and will also be visible to other users.

You may also update your Discord mobile app, including iPad, iPhone, or Android.

Here’s how to do it:

   Launch the Discord mobile app. Tap the hamburger menu or your profile picture, then select “Server” to view the server and channel list.

   You may change your Discord profile details in the “User Settings” tab, then create a new status. To do so, go to “Set Status.”

   A menu will appear on the Discord screen. You may change your Discord status to one of four preset statuses: Invisible, Do Not Disturb, Idle, or Online.

   To change Discord custom status in your Discord mobile app, here are the steps:

If you exit the Discord settings on your desktop app, you can see that your current playing status has changed.

Discord status is much easier to change. You just have to click the hamburger menu on your Discord desktop app at the bottom left corner of your user profile or tap your profile icon when you are using the mobile app, then go to user settings.

You can also make it invisible in your status settings if you wish. However, a Discord status only limits users’ status messages to 128 characters, which means you can’t use it for long. If you type more than 128 characters, it will be truncated with “…” at the end.
